It is undeniable that a significant portion of the South African youth are faced with extreme pressures that contribute to substandard living.

Gang violence, insufficient access to education, rising unemployment, poor mental and physical health, high rates of HIV, substance abuse, teen pregnancy and substandard living arrangements , are only a few contributing factors that disempower the youth of South Africa.

In this disempowered state individuals can turn to a life of crime, drugs and other habits that are not beneficial for their wellbeing.
